Learning a new language is a uniquely challenging task that involves listening, learning, speaking, spelling and writing. Historically, teaching a new language outside of a classroom was always constrained by the technology available to bring together audio, visual and written cues. Also, a “one size fits all” program was developed to make curriculum building easy. What ended up being completely missed was how a language must also be taught in the context of the culture that the language had evolved from.
At Soligsoft, we believe that technology has reached the stage where language can be taught effectively, using a tailored curriculum for the student, on a desktop or online or on a hand-held device. However, being the innovators of language learning platforms, we won’t stop there.
We have built research collaborations with the University of Toronto’s Computing Science department. These research initiatives will bring new ways and approaches to language learning and an even stronger understanding on how language is used in business and personal interactions.
